Our Services
Tinnitus
Our practice runs a Tinnitus Clinic specializing in minimizing ringing sounds in the ear(s).
Lynette travelled overseas to attend a world-class Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) course for tinnitus and hyperacusis at the University of London in the UK.
Only a handful of practices in South Africa can provide you with this specialized treatment.
Hearing Tests
If you feel you are missing out on conversations…. missing the joy of children’s laughter, missing a special message whispered in your ear, missing beautiful bird song – generally, losing out on life, you may have a hearing loss.
It’s imperative to seek appropriate testing
and assessment.
Neonatal Hearing Screening
It is crucial that your baby’s hearing is screened as soon as possible after birth.
Hearing loss affects approximately 2-4 per 1000 live births and it has been estimated to be one of the most common disabilities present at birth. It is a quick and painless procedure that can be done when your baby is sleeping.
Industrial Hearing Screening and Testing
Hearing damage is an actual and unfortunate effect of long-term exposure to loud noise. Noise is a risk of industrial workers and workers of any occupation who are exposed to loud noise.
We play a vital role in identifying noise-induced hearing loss – protecting the rights of the employer as well as the employee.
Earplugs
We provide custom swim earplugs for all ages. The advantage of custom swim plugs is that they tend to be higher quality, therefore last longer. Hygiene is also a factor; they are re-usable and washable. Our professional Audiologists will assist you to find the product that best fits you or your child’s need.
Hearing Protection
The most common cause of hearing loss is exposure to loud sounds. Loud sounds can damage hair cells inside the ears. Hair cells change sound waves to electrical signals that the brain can interpret as sounds. Louder sounds, which have greater intensity than softer sounds, can damage hair cells more quickly than softer sounds.

Do not become a victim of silence…
And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
